Poetry is a very personal thing. For that reason (and because I've written so much poetry over the years!), this page is divided into subsections. Each of those sub pages represents a different type of poetry, a different mood. I've given a short description of the contents so you can judge whether or not you want to read any poems on that page.
Most of the pages were intended to be books. Well, they're sort of mini-books in this website. To read the poems, click on the "book" title.
How many times can a writer wish he could write something that was just right? So we often write about writing...
Most of these are kind of crazy. In fact, they're written about some type of recognized neurosis or psychosis. Read at your own risk.
As the title implies, these were written to be lyrics for songs--only I can't write music. They are of various subjects, but they lack the tunes as well as the focus!
Well, I guess you can figure out what these poems convey.
Sometimes the Muse wings in with a few idle thoughts that just don't fit neatly into any other category.
This is my attempt at a "mini-epic". It uses all of the elements of an epic poem, but is much shorter.
Just a few dithering ditties on themes that are ... well, really out there.
Some thoughts about home-making, only from a completely different angle.
A few poems that didn't fit into any category other than... well, pure silliness.
